We offer free returns for 30 days for all customers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg. Please note that Express shipping costs are not refunded. If you return an item from the EU, a return shipping fee of €20 will be charged and €30 for all other countries. These costs will be deducted from the refundable amount. The return period starts on the day the shipment is delivered or picked up.
Return policy for Made-to-Order Items
Made-to-order items from our webshop can be returned unless prior discussed, personal customizations have been made. Custom changes are always made in consultation with the customer and are not covered by the return policy.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be in their original condition without signs of wear or damage
- Items returned by mail must be in their original packaging, (including labels, boxes, and bags)
The following items cannot be returned:
- Engraved products
- Gift vouchers
We want you to enjoy your new jewelry worry-free. We stand behind the quality of our jewels and offer a warranty on all items.
- Conscious collection
On our Conscious Collection, we offer a two-year warranty from the date of purchase. This includes a certificate of authenticity. We will take care of your jewelry if there is damage to the material or craftsmanship of the jewelry. We collaborate with top manufacturers to create semi-handmade, responsibly produced pieces that last long. We have confidence in the quality of our product and therefore offer a 2-year warranty.
This also means that the warranty does not cover lost items, scratches caused by normal use (such as a bent ring or broken chain), misuse or storage of your product, and any alteration to your product made by a third party outside AVJ.
- Vintage collection
On our Vintage collection, we offer a three-month warranty from the date of purchase, which exceeds the standard offered by other vintage stores. This is because we thoroughly inspect each item before offering it. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a longer warranty because we are not the maker of the jewelry.
This gourmet link is unisex. It is made of solid sterling silver with a smooth finish.

Our suppliers are certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), which emphasizes optimal practices in health and safety, human rights, fair labor, good governance, and environmental protection.

38 cm
Sits high around the neck and is often worn as a choker length. Wear this length on its own for a minimalist look, or combine it with longer necklaces for a striking layered look.
42 cm
One of our most popular necklace lengths. Sits beautifully around the base of the neck and works well with both finer chains and slightly larger pendants. Not sure? Then 42 cm is often the safest choice.
45 cm
A classic everyday length that sits just slightly lower than 42 cm. Perfect for everyday wear and ideal for combining with charms or pendants.
50 cm
A longer length that sits lower on the neckline. This length looks beautiful with an open neckline or as an extra layer in a necklace stack.
55 cm
A less common choice for women, but a lovely option if you prefer to wear a longer necklace or want to combine it with a larger pendant.
60 cm
A long statement length. Looks best with larger pendants or as the longest layer when wearing multiple necklaces together.

How it fits - men
50 cm
A shorter chain length for men. This length works best if you have a slimmer neck or prefer to wear the chain a little higher. With a broader neck, 50 cm may sit quite close and feel more like a choker.
55 cm
One of the most popular and versatile lengths for men. This length naturally falls over the upper chest and works well with or without a pendant.
60 cm
A longer, more relaxed fit. This is a popular choice for men who prefer to wear their chain a little lower, or want to combine it with a larger pendant.
Our advice
For most men, we recommend 55 cm or 60 cm. Choose 55 cm for the most versatile fit. Choose 60 cm if you want a slightly longer, more relaxed look. Do you have a slimmer neck or prefer a shorter fit? Then 50 cm may work well too.
