YOUR ROLE

In this role, you are an important link in our daily operation, both in the showroom and the warehouse. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that all orders go out on time and carefully, that incoming goods are properly processed, and that everything in our systems is accurate.

Additionally, you get energy from helping customers find their dream jewelry. You understand that jewelry is often more than just a product: it is something someone has been looking forward to for a long time or a way to celebrate a special moment. You make sure customers feel welcome in the showroom and leave with a good feeling.

You work with our logistics and operational systems, keep an overview of order flows, and coordinate with the customer service team when there are changes or special circumstances on the floor. You ensure that processes run smoothly, even on busy days.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and gains energy from structure, pace, customer contact, and teamwork.

• Is skilled with systems and quickly picks up new tools

• Has experience in an operational/logistics role (a plus)

We are looking for someone who not only carries out tasks but helps build. Someone who keeps an overview, takes responsibility, and gains energy from a well-running operation. In this part-time role, you play an important part in our weekend and daily operations.

YOUR ROLE

As a Part-time Showroom & Operations Assistant, you are a key link in our daily operation, with a strong focus on the showroom on Saturdays.

You help customers find their dream jewelry and understand that a piece of jewelry is often more than just a product. It is something someone has looked forward to for a long time or celebrates a special moment with. You make sure customers feel welcome and leave with a good feeling.

Besides that, you support the team in the showroom and warehouse on at least one weekday. Think of:

• Carefully processing and preparing orders
• Checking and handling incoming goods
• Updating systems
• Keeping an overview of order flows
• Coordinating with the customer service team in case of special matters

You work with our logistical and operational systems and ensure that processes run smoothly, even on busy days.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility, perfect for someone who gains energy from structure, pace, customer contact, and teamwork.

AVAILABILITY

• Available at least three Saturdays per month
• Working hours Saturday: 10:30 – 15:00 / 15:30
• Additionally, available at least one fixed weekday (one or two days possible by agreement)

Part-time / Freelance / Remote Possible

At Amsterdam Vintage Jewels, we create jewelry that is an extension of someone's best self. Every design must feel distinctive, be technically sound, and fit within the quality and image that AVJ represents. That’s why we are looking for a jewelry designer who combines creativity with technical insight, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of quality and manufacturability.

Are you someone who can translate ideas into refined jewelry designs, think technically during development, and understand how to make a design commercially strong? Then we would love to meet you.

About the Role

As a jewelry designer, you will work closely with the owners on developing new designs and collections. You translate briefings into strong designs and help turn customer ideas into jewelry that is aesthetically, technically, and commercially sound.

You will guide the process from the initial design to the sample and final product. You will consider proportions, wearability, finishing, quality, and how to bring a design to life as strongly as possible within the world of AVJ.

What You Will Do

• Translate briefings from the owners into concrete jewelry designs
• Turn customer ideas and wishes into strong and refined designs
• Develop designs technically using appropriate design and drawing software
• Contribute ideas on construction, finishing, wearability, and quality
• Manage the process from 3D print to silver gold-plated sample to final product
• Critically evaluate samples and make adjustments where necessary
• Think commercially about how to best develop jewelry
• Consider appearance, manufacturability, quality, and marketability
• Collaborate with the owners and other involved parties to achieve the best final result

Who We Are Looking For

• You have experience designing jewelry
• You have a sense of style, detail, proportions, and finishing
• You have experience with technical design software and programs
• You understand that jewelry must not only be beautifully designed but also well producible
• You think solution-oriented and have an eye for quality
• You can combine creativity with technical and commercial insight
• You work accurately and can translate feedback into improvements
• You enjoy contributing to new designs and collections
